RX-0 Unicorn Gundam Psycho Frame Destroy Mode
This 6 episodes OVAs, each with estimated 50 minutes running time, is the next installation to the U.C (Universal Century) timeline, taking place 3 years after the events of the movie Mobile Suit Gundam: Char’s Counterattack. Taking the same title with its novels, this series, happening during the year U.C 0096, focuses on a young man named Banagher Links, who thinks wars are mere fiction as he is born after major wars have ended. But upon meeting the mysterious Audrey Burne, his life is constantly changed as he becomes the pilot of the new RX-0 Unicorn Gundam.
Here’s a little bit details about the background of the series. In the far future, humans have started to live in space due to overpopulation. They build “Colonies” in space as their homes. And as time goes by, these Colonies tend to be independent, waging wars to free themselves from Earth Government, also known as Earth Federation. They then call themselves as the Principality of ZEON, in which Audrey Burne holds much connections to. The events after human start to live in the space holds important key to this series.
The character design for this series is quite old school. Well, nothing strange because it is indeed the continuation to the very first GUNDAM series, Mobile Suit Gundam 0079, which was made way way years ago. But don’t worry, the quality is still in top notch. The conflicts also contain many twists you’ll never expect. So, GUNDAM fans and non-fans alike, look forward for this series. Oh, for some new vieweres, you may want to view a little bit history before watching this, as there are some events which no entirely explained here.
